Government Ayurvedic College & Hospital (GACH), Balangir

Government Ayurvedic College & Hospital is One of the Oldest Ayurvedic Institute of Western Odisha, located in Balangir, Odisha. This Institute was established in the year 1975 under private Management, but it was taken over by the Govt. of Orissa with effect from 1984. Affiliated to Sambalpur University and Approved by CCIM & Ministry of Ayush, New Delhi. Campus Spread over 9.141 Acre of land Area.

The vision of GACH is to be an outstanding academic centre of excellence while affirming and committed to rigorous scholarship, academic freedom, sound moral values , empathy towards patients and social responsibility.

GACH strives to produce outstanding accredited graduates who are innovative, analytical, articulate, adaptable, life-long learners contributing to the health , educational, cultural, economic and natural environment of the society we serve.

Objectives :

* To develop a pattern of teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in all its branches so as to prepare Human Resources for Health for Odisha and India at large.

* To render health services to both rural and urban people of western Odisha.

* To integrate with state health services and NGOs in implementing national health programs in terms of training,monitoring,supervision and expertise in related fields
