PDCC Liver Transplant Anaesthesia is a one-year program. The purpose of this course is to enhance the skills and knowledge among professionals as per the current needs of academics and society. As this course is a skill enhancement clinical course, it is a full-time academic course.
The primary goal of the program is to train anesthesiologists in the advanced perioperative care of liver transplant patients; integrating current best practices, and evidence-based care and teaching technical skills with each case.
The liver transplant anesthesiology plays an active role, not only in the operating room, but also throughout the care of the liver transplant patient by staffing a pre-operative anaesthesia evaluation clinic, participating in a multidisciplinary hospital-wide transplant review committee, and constantly reviewing our collective practice to provide the best anaesthesia experience for each patient.

Eligibility Criteria for PDCC Liver Transplant Anaesthesia
1. Candidates who Passed MD OR DNB in Pathology/Transfusion Medicine OR Diploma in Clinical Pathology OR MD in Biochemistry/Microbiology are eligible to apply.
2. They must have 55% as aggregate marks, and 5% of total marks relaxed for SC /ST candidates.
3. NOC for Foreign Candidates from their respective Missions/Embassies and other relevant organizations and from WHO.
4. They must submit their one year Internship certificate. One year must be passed after their internship.
5. Age should not be over 45 years at the time of enrolment having to satisfy an interview board approved by the University.
Admission Process
1. Colleges publish notice of admission on their website from a period of June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.
2. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark as the cut-off mark.
3. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
4. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
5. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
Career after PDCC Liver Transplant Anaesthesia
Liver transplant anaesthesia will prepare to become an excellent anesthesiologist. There are numerous advantages to improving your clinical skills, it also increases your knowledge of liver transplant surgery. You will become more confident performing the surgery, which is important for the success of the organ transplant. You will also learn how to deal with complications after the transplant, which will help you save more lives.
During the course, they will gain experience in perioperative care for high-acuity abdominal organ transplants, as well as non-transplant surgery for patients with hepatic/pancreas/biliary diseases. The fellowship focuses on a comprehensive perioperative approach. The fellow is expected to participate in the preoperative evaluation of candidates and intraoperative anaesthetic care.
