MECEE is a common entrance examination conducted by the Nepal Medical Education Board to provide MD/ MS in Nepal. Studying in Nepal will prepare you for an international career. Eligibility Criteria for MECEE

1. Students who are appearing for MECEE-UG entrance exam should complete 10+2 years of education or Intermediate of Science or equivalent, with English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects and he/she must have passed in all the subjects mentioned above.

2. One must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the 12th for the reserved category. There is a relaxation of 5% one has to secure a minimum of 45%.

3. Candidates must be registered with the Medical Council of India (in the case of Indian students) and same for the other international students. They must have a permanent/provincial registration with the medical council of their respective countries.

4. The students must be studied in English medium or at least they had English as a subject.

5. Valid Indian passport and no visa required.

6. Valid MCI certificate

Admission Process

1. Nepal Medical Commission Conducts an Entrance Exam for MBBS admission in all affiliated Colleges.

2. Exam will be conducted in January.

3. Students including Indians must appear and qualify in this exam to get admission to any of these Colleges.

4. Colleges are Tribhuwan University, Kathmandu University, and BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences. Which is recognized by WHO and National Medical Commission (India).

5. Qualified students will get MBBS admission to colleges.

2. Exam conducted: Annually

3. Total Questions: 200

4. Marking Scheme: No negative marking

5. Duration: 3 hours (180mins)

6. Language: English
