MD Radio Therapy is a 3-year postgraduate degree course. Radiation oncologists specialize in radiation therapy, and for some cancers, radiation is the only treatment needed. Radiation treatment may also be used to provide temporary relief of symptoms or to treat cancers that cannot be removed with surgery. This method carefully aims high-powered x-rays or particles directly at the tumor from outside of the body.
Each specialist has a specific modality they use in treating cancer. Of these three, the medical oncologist generally manages the patient's treatment as a whole, when their treatment includes chemotherapy. Some cancers require surgery (at least for biopsy) and radiation therapy, but not chemo - in which case the radiation oncologist generally manages the patient's overall treatment plan.
MD Radiotherapy offers candidates to set up a career in various areas of radiology and technology. The course is beneficial to develop a plan to deliver the radiation to the tumor area, shielding as much surrounding normal tissue as possible. Some of the jobs for graduates include Radiologist, Ultrasound Technician, Pharmacy Manager, Physician, Pathologist, Radiotherapist, etc.

Career after MD Radio Therapy
Radiation therapy or radiotherapy, often abbreviated RT, RTx, or XRT, is a therapy using ionizing radiation, generally provided as part of cancer treatment to control or kill malignant cells and normally delivered by a linear accelerator. The Course is helpful to reduce the symptoms caused by growing tumors and improve your quality of life.
Candidates can easily find good job options in the private or government sectors as there is a high demand for professionals in this field. Candidates also make use of the medical education provided in the degree to get a job in the Medical sector, Government, University Administration, or Public Health Sectors.
The current job scenario is based on how many advanced techniques you know like IMRT, IGRT, Cyberknife, and Proton therapy; but in PG training, it's difficult to get these cases. In government hospitals, such high-end machines aren't commonly available & in Private hospitals, they can't rely on PGts for such high-end procedures.
