Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardized test been administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programs. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003.
Management Aptitude Test or MAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for admissions to MBA/PGDM courses. The exam is conducted four times a year February, May, September, and December.

MAT Eligibility Criteria
Given below are the basic eligibility criteria for the MAT exam:
1. Candidates should have completed graduation in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized university
2. Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply for MAT
3. Candidates who have completed a professional degree such as CA, CS, or ICWA are also eligible to apply for the MAT exam.
MAT Exam Dates 2023
MAT exam will be conducted in four sessions in a year. In the table given below, candidates can check tentative MAT exam dates for the March session.
MAT 2023 Registration
The application process dates for MAT PBT, MAT CBT, and MAT IBT are at different times. Candidates willing to appear can get themselves registered for either of the tests by paying the required application fee. The MAT exam fee needs to be paid as per your choice of appearing in one MAT exam or two MAT exams. MAT 2023 has multiple testing modes – CBT, IBT and PBT.

How to fill MAT Application form for 2023?
MAT 2023 exam registration form for the August-September cycle is available online mode. The steps to fill the MAT 2023 application form are mentioned below.
Step 1- MAT Online Registration
1. Visit the official website of AIMA MAT or click here.
2. https://mat.aima.in/dec21/register-online
3. Enter details such as Name, Phone Number, Email ID, Date of Birth and set a password
4. Confirm details and click on submit button
5. An OTP will be sent on the registered mobile number
6. Verify phone number using the OTP
7. New login will be sent to your email
Step 2 - Log in
1. Registered applicants have to visit the MAT official website, mat.aima.in to fill the AIMA MAT 2023 application form.
2. Click on the ‘Login’ button to log in.
3. After clicking the login button, enter the login credentials - registered email ID, password, date of birth
4. Then click on the ‘Submit’ button
MAT Exam Pattern 2023
1. Exam Mode: The examination will be conducted through CBT (Computer Based Test), PBT (Paper Based Test) and IBT (Remote Proctored Internet Based Test).
2. Type of Question: There will be 200 objective-type questions asked in the exam.
3. Duration: A total of 150 minutes will be given to candidates to solve the question paper.
4. Medium: The medium of examination will be the English language only.
5. Sections: Questions will be asked from Language Comprehension, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis & Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Indian & Global Environment.
6. Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, one mark will be provided.
7. Negative Marking: For each wrong answer, the 0.25 mark will be deducted.

MAT Exam 2023 Admit Card
The official website provides the admit card and applicants can download it before the exam date. One needs to enter a birth date along with the registration number for availing of the admit card.
Without admit card, no candidates will be permitted to write the exam. Candidates must bring admit cards along with valid ID Proof to the examination center.

MAT 2023 Result
The official announcement for MAT Results 2023 was done in the AIMA portal. So get updated about results through an official website The Result will be announced in the 4th week of May 2023.
MAT 2023 Counselling
The counseling is organized by AIMA for providing admissions. After downloading the scorecard, students will have to participate in the counseling separately organized by the participating institutions.
MAT Counselling will be started after the declaration of the result. Students will get selected for admission on the basis of MAT score, category and availability of seats in colleges.
