M.Tech in Power Electronics is a 2 year full time professional course in the technical discipline of Power Electronics. The course also covers advanced topics in microprocessors and microcontrollers which are very much needed for today's Power Electronics engineer.
The power electronics suite provides easy-to-use tools for electrical, thermal, electromagnetic, electromechanical, circuit, control and system design. This specialization combines state-of-the-art technologies with conventional technologies, for example, power semiconductor devices, electronics, electromagnetic, digital signal processors, and control theory, EMC and energy technology.
Eligibility Criteria
Students should have passed a B.Tech./B.E. in Chemical/Petro Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks. Some of the very reputed institutes conduct an entrance examination for admission. Candidates can seek admission to Universities by giving the GATE Entrance Exam. However, certain Universities conduct their own entrance test for Candidates willing to seek admission.
