Eligibility Criteria for DM Neonatology
1. Candidates require to obtain an MBBS or equivalent degree at the undergraduate level, then after MD/DNB in General Medicine or Pediatrics degree at the post-graduate level.
2. Competitors showing up for MD General Medicine/DNB General Medicine or MD Pediatric Medicine/DNB Pediatric Medicine assessment and expecting results before affirmation, subject to the condition that they breeze through their passing before confirmation.
3. A minimum aggregate score of 55% (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the level of post-graduation.
4. 1- year compulsory rotating internship.
5. Preferably, a minimum of 12 months of professional experience, as most reputed institutes prefer candidates with work experience.
Admission Process
1. Candidates held to be eligible based on the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Super Specialty Courses conducted by the National Board of Examinations under the auspices of the Medical Council of India for the academic session (NEET-SS, NEET PG), are eligible for selection to the courses.
2. The choice of possibility for admission to DM course is to be made based on a selection test in principle and clinical evaluation held by the Institute/University.
3. Colleges publish notice of admission on their website from a period of June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.
4. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark as the cut-off mark.
5. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
6. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
