Eligibility Criteria for B.Pharma L.E in Pharmaceutics
1. The duration of the B. Pharma course is 4 years, and the duration of B. Pharma Lateral Entry admission is 3 years.
2. The person who has completed Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma) with 50% marks, he/she is eligible for B. Pharma Lateral Entry admission. On the other side, a person who has completed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology with 50% marks from any recognized board/institute, he/ she is not eligible for a lateral entry programme.
3. In B. Pharma Lateral Entry admission programme, students get direct admission in the second year of the B. Pharma course. On the other side, in general, B. Pharma programme, students get admission in the first year of the B. Pharma course.
4. In matters of employment opportunities and higher education, the value of both programmes is the same.
Admission Process
Students can either give the national level entrance examination for B. Pharma. or various other state-level entrance examinations such as entrance examination for admission.
CUCET : This exam is for common entrance exam for entrance in various undergraduate courses including B Pharmacy.
BITSAT : BITSAT is a national-level entrance exam providing admission across BITS campus.
MET : Manipal Entrance Test (MET) is for admission in undergraduate courses in the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).
KCET : Kerala Common Entrance Test offers admission in various colleges across Kerala.
