M.Tech Material Science & Engineering is a two-year engineering course. The program is designed to produce graduates that can apply fundamental knowledge of mathematics, physics & chemistry of materials, and statistics, to model and solve problems related to design, synthesis, performance enhancement, and optimization of materials.
A materials science and engineering degree provides a fundamental understanding of materials at nano, micro, and macro scales, leading to specializations in areas such as biomaterials, chemical and electrochemical materials science and engineering; computational materials science and engineering; electronic, magnetic, and optical materials; and structural materials.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech Material Science & Engineering
1. M.Tech. the course is through an entrance examination and is open to Undergraduate Degree holders from diversified backgrounds such as Basic Science Subjects, Engineering, Medical, Agricultural Science, Pharmaceutical Science, and Dental Science.
2. Candidates should have secured a minimum aggregate score of 45% or more in subjects.
3. They must have a minimum aggregate of 55% to qualify for the program.
Admission Process
1. Colleges publish notice of admission on their website from June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.
2. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark as the cut-off mark.
3. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
4. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
5. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
