Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is a three-year course. This course deals with teaching the skills and knowledge required for aspirants to form professional careers in the areas of social work. In a Bachelor of Social Work students learn about human behaviour and the lifespan, social welfare policy, research methods, practices for working with individuals and families, and group practice methods. Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
1. A class 12 passes out in the science, Arts, or any stream with central, state or a recognised board in India.
2. A minimum of 55% aggregate in class 12 or equivalent exam.
3. In the case where Grade points are not awarded only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for the General/OBC/UPS category and 50% marks for SC/ST/DAC category.
Admission Process
1. Colleges publish notice of admission on their website from a period of June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.
2. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark as the cut-off mark.
3. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
4. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
