The Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department offered scholarships to 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students, as well as UG, PG, and Diploma students, for both renewal and new students. Students in the ninth and tenth grades are eligible for a Pre-Matric Scholarship.

UP Scholarship 2022-2023 Eligibility Criteria

The following are the conditions that the student should meet to qualify for the UP Scholarship 2022.

Applicant’s Category

1. SC, ST, General, OBC category students are eligible for the UP Scholarship 2022.

2. Sikh, Christian, Muslim, Bodh, Jain, and Parsi students can also apply for the same under the Minority category.

Domicile for UP 2022 Scholarship

1. The student must be studying in a School/College located in the state.

2. Only students who have a domicile in Uttar Pradesh can apply for this scholarship.

3. The School/College of a student must be registered on the UP-scholarship portal.

Minimum Family Income for UP Scholarship 2022

For post-matric scholarship, the family income should be equal to or less than Rs. 2 lakh/annum. The family income of a student should not be more than Rs. 1 lakh/annum to apply for UP pre-matric scholarship.

Academic Qualification Required

1. For Pre-matric Scholarship: The student must be studying in the 9th or 10th class.

2. For Post-matric Scholarship (Other than 11th, 12th): The student must have enrolled in a graduation or post-graduation course in a recognized University/College.

3. For Post-matric Scholarship: The student must be studying in the 11th or 12th class.

How to Apply for UP Scholarship?

All the eligible students can apply for the respective scholarships through this online system only during the prescribed application. You will need to follow the easy procedures outlined below to do this:

1. You will first have to visit the official website of the UP scholarship.

2. The homepage of the organization will be displayed on your screen. Go to the Student section.

3. A drop-down list will be displayed on your screen. Click on the option called Registration.

4. A new page will be displayed on your screen. Select your prescribed option.

5. Fill in all mandatory details, click on “Submit” You will be successfully registered.

6. Now click on the Student tab again. A drop-down list will be displayed on your screen.

7. Click on the option called “Fresh/Renewal Login” if you want to register a fresh application.

8. Enter your login credentials such as registration number, date of birth and password.

9. Fill in the personal details, qualifications, and other information correctly. Finally, click on the “Submit” button.

10. Upload your scanned photograph and other supporting documents.

11. Download the filled registration form.

12. Take a printout of the same and keep the hard copy safe for further usage.
