CBSE has invited applications for Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023 and Single Girl Child Scholarship 2022 (Renewal 2023). Eligible candidates can apply for the grant on the official website from September 19, 2023 to October 18, 2023.
Eligibility criteria for Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023
1. Single girl child students of Indian nationality who are studying in CBSE affiliated schools and have qualified Class 10 with 60 per cent marks in the first five subjects can apply for the grant.
2. The NRI applicants studying in CBSE-affiliated schools can also apply for the scholarship, however, they will not be entitled for a tuition fee of more than Rs. 6,000 per month.
3. In order to avail the scholarship, the candidate must be pursuing her education at Class 11 and 12 in CBSE affiliated schools.
4. The monthly tuition fee of the student should not be more than Rs.1,500 in Class 10 and there should not be an increase of more than 10 per cent in Class 11 and 12.
5. After the registration process is complete, candidates should check whether their registration is confirmed. Sometimes, registration is cancelled due to a lack of document upload, incorrect information, signature mistakes, etc.

How to apply for Single Girl Child Scholership ?
1. Visit the official portal of the Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE at www.cbse.gov.in.
2. Tap on the option “Main Website” in the options that have been provided.
3. The main portal for the board will open up. Scroll the home page to reach the elaborate menu.
4. Tap on the option of “Scholarships or छात्रवत्तृि” to open the web page of all the currently available scholarships.
5. In the given tabular menu, check out the “Single Girl Child Scholarship – 2023 (Fresh Application)” under the “Types of Scholarship“.
6. Click on “Apply Now“.
The options pertaining to the application will open up.
7. Tap on “SGC-X – Fresh Application” to apply as a new candidate.
8. The fresh application form will open up. Verify the student’s candidature by entering the Class X Board Examination Roll Number and the date of Birth. Click on “Proceed“.
9. If the entered information matches with the records of the CBSE, the applicant will receive the application form on the screen.
10. Enter all the required information as asked in the application form.
11. Finally, press “Submit” and print the application form after its submission.
