The Government Of India, Ministry of Minority Affairs will be announced dates every year for Pre-Matric Scholarships for all Minority Students including Christian Minority students. The scholarship is financial funding for Education Degree. These Scholarships are based on the Category of Reservation.
The main aim of these scholarships is to provide special treatment to the students who are not able to fund their education because they belong to the minority community and they are going through poverty all the time. Students of classes 1st to 10th will apply online in the National Scholarship Portal of the Government of India, official website: www.scholarships.gov.in.
The objective Pre Matric scholarships for meritorious
The objective of the scheme is to award Pre Matric scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority communities so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education, increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability.
The scholarship at the pre-matric level will encourage parents from minority communities to send their school-going children to school, lighten their financial burden on school education and sustain their efforts to support their children to complete school education.

Eligibility Criteria for Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities
1. Students who have secured not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination.
2. Annual income from all sources of the student's parents or guardian should not exceed Rs. One Lac.
3. Students obtaining benefits under this scheme will not be allowed to avail of any other benefit under any other scheme for pursuing the same course.
4. Scholarship will not be given to more than two students in a family.
5. The post-matric scholarship is available for the students of classes I to X.
6. Students belonging to Muslim/ Christian/Sikh/ Buddhist/ Jain / Parsi are eligible.
7. Both Day scholars and hostellers are eligible to apply
8. Eligible students may apply by submitting a scholarship application online from its official portal website https://scholarships.gov.in.

How to apply online for Pre matric scholarship?
1. The Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme is an online Scheme and one can apply for a fresh or renewal Scholarship under any of these Schemes on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at www.scholarships.gov.in.
2. Link to the Portal is also provided on the website of the Ministry of Minority Affairs www.minorityaffairs.gov.in.
3. An online undertaking has to be submitted for registration on the NSP by applicants who are above the age of 18 years and by the parents/guardian if the applicant is below the age of 18 years.
