Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has announced that the Maharashtra Class 10 board exams 2021 have been canceled. The Government has taken the decision in the wake of the worsening situation of the COVID-19 cases.
In a series of tweets, Minister Varsha Gaikwad tweeted, "Given the worsening situation of the #Covid-19 pandemic, the Maharashtra government has now decided to CANCEL the state board exams for class 10th.
The Class 10 assessment criteria will be declared soon. The board has postponed the Class 12th (HSC) exams till May end. Earlier, the Maharashtra government has decided to promote students of Classes 1 to 9 and 11 without exams due to the COVID pandemic.
