The institute offers admission to M.Tech in three different modes, first candidates with GATE score, secondly for IIT Graduates with B. Tech degree and thirdly for candidates sponsored by government organizations/reputed Industrial Organization/ Academic Institutions.

2. Opening of COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) portal for registration: 16th March 2021
3. Date of Written Test/Interview for Sponsored Candidates only (if any): 23rd June 2021
4. COAP Counselling schedule of main round and an additional round: 12th May 2021 to 20th July 2021
5. Reporting at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad (Physical verification): 14th August 2021
6. Commencement of Semester for all M. Tech. Courses: 16th August 2021
