Bihar Scholarship is an educational opportunity for the students who are permanent residents of the state. The Government of Bihar and other private organisations together offer a number of scholarships for meritorious and underprivileged students of the state. The key objective of each scholarship is to encourage and motivate deserving students to pursue further studies regardless of any financial constraints.
This is done in order to aid financially weak students to pursue higher education. Candidates from SC, ST, OBC and EBC categories are eligible to apply for the scholarship. The candidates who wish to apply for the Bihar Scholarship must be aware of the Bihar State Scholarship details.

Bihar Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2022-23
The candidates who wish to apply for the scholarship program, must primarily, check the eligibility criteria and check below -
Bihar Post Matric Scholarship (PMS), For OBC/SC/ST Students
1. The students who are at Post Matriculation Level i.e. Class 11th-Postgraduation Level can apply for the scholarship.
2. The candidate’s family’s annual income must be less than INR 2.50 Lakh (SC/ST Students) & INR 1 Lakh (For OBC Students)
3. In order to apply, the candidate must have passed the last qualifying exam.
4. They must not be in receipt of any other scholarship.
5. The candidate must not be having any receipt of any other scholarship.
Bihar Chief Minister Medhavi Yojana, Bihar, for EBC/ BC Students
1. The students who have passed class 10th examination from Bihar School Examination Board with the first class (Over 60% marks) can apply for this fellowship.
2. The candidate’s family’s income for OBC students must be less than INR 1.50 Lakh.
Bihar Pre-Matric Scholarship, for OBC Students
1. The candidate must be studying in classes 1 to 10th in a government or government-recognized school in order to apply for this scholarship.
Bihar BTSE Talent Search Examination
1. The Bihar BTSE Talent Search Examination is a scholarship exam for students of class 7th till 10th.
Bihar Combined Counselling Board (CCB)
1. The students must be studying at a college/university level (pursuing Diploma level or degree level or postgraduate level courses) in order to apply for this scholarship.
2. The candidate must have passed the last qualifying exam with at least 40% to 50% marks in order to avail of this scholarship.

2. On the homepage, click on the option “State Schemes” in the menu bar.
3. Select the state of your domicile.
4. The application details regarding the scholarship will appear on your screen. Click on the “Apply” tab.
5. An application form will open on your screen, fill that form with all the necessary details.
6. Attach the required documents and click on the “Submit” option to complete the process.
