The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has canceled Class 11 examinations for the academic year 2020-2021. It has decided to promote all the students without board examinations in view of the rising COVID-19 pandemic situation.
MyGov Assam tweeted, "Owing to the current COVID-19 pandemic, students of Higher Secondary 1st Year, 2021 have been directly promoted to HS 2nd Year."
Earlier, it has postponed the Assam Higher Secondary first year examination scheduled to be held from May 4 which has now been canceled. The government has also deferred the Class 10th (HSLC) and Class 12th (Higher Secondary) board exams scheduled in May.
