B.F.Tech or Bachelor in Fashion Technology is a 4-year undergraduate program, Bachelor of Fashion Technology is a very specialized course and offered only in very few institutes across India. This course is an undergraduate course that gives the techniques, knowledge, and required methods in the production of fashion garments and accessories.
B.F.Tech trains students to be employed in the apparel manufacturing industry. This course provides the necessary skills, uses of equipment provides in the fashion industry, and techniques. The course teaches you the basics of textiles, fashion & gives you highly technical inputs related to pattern making, Garment construction, Apparel Machinery, Apparel production.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility for this course Minimum Qualification is intermediate. 10+2 or equivalent examination with (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) as mandatory subjects.
Admission to the B.F.Tech Program is on the basis of a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology ( NIFT)- GAT Entrance Exam. Few private colleges also have direct admissions on the basis of class 12th marks as admission criteria.
Candidates who have pursued a three or four years diploma program in any branch of Engineering which is recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education are also eligible to apply for a B.F.Tech course.
