Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test TS ICET

The Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET), now officially referred to as TG ICET, is the state-level entrance exam for admission into MBA and MCA courses across universities in Telangana.

For the 2026 academic session, Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Nalgonda is conducting the exam on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE).

TG ICET Highlights

Eligibility Criteria for TG ICET

1.     Candidate must have completed their graduation in any stream from a recognized college/ universities.

2.      Candidate must have scored minimum of 50% for general and 45% marks for SC/ST in the qualifying examination.

3.     Candidates must be of Indian nationality.

4.     Candidate must fulfill the local/non-local status criteria for Telangana as per relevant government orders (GOs). 

5.     A minimum age of 19 years is generally required, with no upper limit specified.

TG ICET Exam Pattern

The TS ICET 2026 is a 1featuring 50-minute computer-based test (CBT) featuring 200 objective-type questions (MCQs) worth a total of 200 marks. The exam is divided into three sections: Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability, and Communication Ability, with no negative marking for incorrect answers. It is conducted once a year in May. .

·         Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four options

·         Marking Scheme: +1 for each correct answer; 0 for wrong/unattempted

·         Negative Marking: None 

Section-Wise Exam Pattern
The paper is divided into the following three sections: 

·         Section A: Analytical Ability (75 Questions/75 Marks): Focuses on Data Sufficiency (20 questions) and Problem Solving (55 questions).

·         Section B: Mathematical Ability (75 Questions/75 Marks): Covers Arithmetical Ability, Algebra, Geometry, and Statistical Ability.

·         Section C: Communication Ability (50 Questions/50 Marks): Assesses Vocabulary, Business/Computer Terminology, Functional Grammar, and Reading Comprehension. 

TG ICET Syllabus

Section A: Analytical Ability (75 Questions)

Evaluates logical reasoning and data interpretation skills. 

·         Data Sufficiency (20 Qs): Deciding if the given data is sufficient to answer a specific question.

·         Problem Solving (55 Qs):

o    Sequences and Series: Number and alphabet series, analogies, and odd-one-out.

o    Data Analysis: Interpreting information from Venn diagrams, pie charts, bar graphs, and tables.

o    Coding & Decoding: Word and number coding patterns.

o    Date, Time & Arrangement: Calendars, clocks, blood relationships, and seating arrangements. 

Section B: Mathematical Ability (75 Questions)

Tests core mathematical concepts from school and college levels. 

·         Arithmetical Ability (35 Qs): Percentages, profit and loss, time and work, ratios, simple/compound interest, and LCM/GCD.

·         Algebraical & Geometrical Ability (30 Qs): Linear/quadratic equations, progressions (AP/GP), trigonometry, circles, triangles, and coordinate geometry.

·         Statistical Ability (10 Qs): Frequency distribution, mean, median, mode, standard deviation, and basic probability. 

Section C: Communication Ability (50 Questions)

Assesses English proficiency and business knowledge. 

·         Vocabulary (10 Qs): Synonyms, antonyms, and day-to-day terminology.

·         Business & Computer Terminology (10 Qs): Familiarity with basic business concepts and computer hardware/software terms.

·         Functional Grammar (15 Qs): Tenses, parts of speech, and sentence structure.

·         Reading Comprehension (15 Qs): Understanding and answering questions based on passages.

Step-by-Step Application Process:

1.     Fee Payment: Visit the official website, click on "Application Fee Payment", and pay online.

2.     Check Payment Status: Note the Transaction ID/Payment Reference ID.

3.     Fill Application Form: Click on "Fill Application Form" using your payment ID, qualifying examination hall ticket number, and date of birth.

4.     Upload Documents: Upload scanned photograph and signature.

5.     Submit & Print: Review details and submit the application form. Print or download the filled form for future reference.
