Jamia Milia Islamia, also known as JMI is a central university located in Delhi. It was established in 1920 and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is accredited with an “A” Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Jamia Millia Islamia has nine faculties: Law; Engineering and Technology; Architecture and Ekistics; Humanities and Languages; Fine Arts; Social Sciences; Natural Sciences; Education; and Dentistry.

Jamia Millia Islamia Admission

Jamia Millia Islamia's admission process starts in the month of April generally. Admission to all the courses except the B.Tech program is based on marks obtained in the entrance exam conducted by the university itself.

Admission to the B.Tech program is based on JEE Main exam scores. Applications for admission are accepted in online mode along with the required application fee and documents.

For admission to the BDS program in Jamia Millia Islamia, students have to qualify for NEET. Those who will successfully qualify for the NEET Exam are only considered for admission.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission 

1. To be eligible for admission to any undergraduate program, applicants should have passed class 12 in the relevant stream from a reputed board.

2. The selection is done through the Entrance Exam which is conducted by the university itself.

3. The minimum eligibility to apply for master's courses is a graduate degree in a relevant stream from a recognized university or institute.

4. Admission is done on the basis of the entrance exam score conducted by the university.

Eligibility Criteria for Jamia UG Courses

1. B.Tech: Diploma in Engineering/ 10+2/12th or its equivalent of a recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their main subjects, with not less than 55% marks in PCM.

2. B.Sc: 10+2 or an equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in each of the science subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and 50% marks in aggregate of best 5-papers.

3. BBA: 12th or an equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate of best 5-papers or in the subject concerned.

4. B.Arch: Candidate who has passed 10+2 examination/ 3-year Diploma (10+3) and has secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics, English, Physics, and Chemistry as subjects shall be eligible.

5. B.A.: 12th or an equivalent examination with not less than 45% marks in aggregate or 50% marks in the subject concerned.

6. B.A. LL.B: Candidate passed the class 12th examination in the 10+2 scheme or its equivalent in any discipline securing.

Jamia Entrance Exam PG Courses

1. M.Tech: Bachelor’s or any other equivalent and Relevant degrees in Engineering and Technology only with not less than 60% marks.

2. M.Arch.: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent degree recognized by the Council of Architecture with a required percentage of marks.

3. M.Sc: B.Sc./ B.Sc. (H), B.A./ B.Pharma with a required percentage of marks in the subject concerned.

4. M.A.: A bachelor’s degree with an advanced diploma from any recognized university/institute with a required percentage of marks in the subject concerned.

5. MCA: Bachelor’s degree in Science/ Natural Science / Social Science/ Engineering /Technology/ BCA/ BSc (IT/CS) with 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade and Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 or higher level.

6. MBA: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or an equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.

7. LLM: B. with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate or equivalent grade points.

Admission Process

1. The admission will be provided only on a merit basis. On the basis of the score in the entrance exam and interview round the merit will be prepared.

2. If any candidate fails to show their original certificates at the time of admission, then their admission will be rejected.

3. For admission to the BDS program, candidates have to appear in NEET.

4. Admission to B.Tech/B. Arch will be provided on the basis of the JEE Main score.

5. For all other courses, admission will be offered on the basis of the entrance exam conducted by JMI University followed by an interview and other processes.

6. The candidate will not be shortlisted for the interview round if got the marks less than 30% in the descriptive part of the entrance exam.

Exam Pattern for Jamia entrance

1. Exam Mode: The examination will be conducted through an online (computer-based test) mode.

2. Questions: The question paper for the Jamia University entrance examination will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

3. Number of Questions: The number of courses will vary as per the courses.

4. Marking scheme: Each correct answer will consist of 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

For PG Course

Jamia 2023 Admit Card

1. The admit card will be released by the exam conducting authority for every registered candidate individually through online mode.

2. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards for the Jamia University examination from May 2023.

3. University will not send any admit card to any candidates individually through post or any other offline mode.

4. Candidates will have to download their admit card by login into the website of the university.

Jamia 2023 Result

The Jamia university result will be prepared on the basis of the final answer key. The result will be made available till 30th September 2023 through online mode. Jamia result will be consist of candidate’s performance in the entrance exam. Candidates are advised to keep their results safe till the completion of the admission procedure as it can be required at the time of counseling.
