The Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) is an autonomous scientific society under the Indian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and is involved in training, consulting, product development, entrepreneurship and human resource development in information, electronics & communication technologies.
The Society is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is based in New Delhi with a network of centres around the globe. DOEACC Society is the only professional examination body in India, which accredits institutes/organizations for conducting particular courses, specializing in the nonformal sector of IT education.
The DOEACC Society was created by the Department of Electronics to implement a scheme of the AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education), with a view to harnessing the resources available in the private sector for training in Computers, with a view to meet the increasing requirement of the trained manpower.
DOEACC Society is now the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology. The NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology), is an autonomous scientific society of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. DOEACC works for Information Technology and educates in the field of Computers.
About Levels of Examination Highlights
The body has different levels of courses of different difficulties for Computer Applications and IT. The goal of these courses is to bring quality IT knowledge to the general public. It gives O, A, B and C Level Certificates to the students who pass out its exam.
There are five levels of courses, each corresponding to different levels of regular educational programmes. There are certificate, foundation, diploma equivalent programmes, and courses equivalent to master’s courses.

Examination Norms for DOEACC
1. Registration is pre-request for candidate to appear in DOEACC O / A / B / C level examination after 6 months of the commencement of the accredited course in the remaining 2 modules after the completion of one year of the commencement of the affiliated course.
2. This is subject to the candidate that to subjects have been covered in the course by the institute and so endorsed in the examination application form.
3. At A, B, C levels, candidate can appear in any paper in any order, of the subject has been covered at the Institution running the accredited can appear in examinations of they satisfy the eligibility criteria as appear.
DOEACC Certificate Courses on Computer Concepts (CCC)
DOEACC’s courses have been designed to make Computer Applications and IT literacy more widespread in India. The first of all course levels in DOEACC is CCC or Course on Computer Concept. This is a certificate-level course teaching the basics and introduction to IT.
Upon completing CCC candidates are expected to be comfortable with using computers to write and send letters and emails, browse the internet as well as prepare presentations.

Eligibility Criteria for CCC
1. Students having passed Class 10 or above may apply for the certification.
2. Office employees having basic computer knowledge and desiring to acquire a computer certificate may also apply for the examination.

DOEACC 'O' Level
'O' level course of DOEACC Scheme is equivalent to a Foundation Level Course in Computer Applications. The qualifying exam to obtain a NIELIT (DOEACC) 'O' Level certification is organized by the Computer Society of India (CSI) and under the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT).
Students can acquire this qualification by undergoing this course and passing the examination conducted by the NIELIT. After completion of 'O' Level course, students can further enroll for DOEACC 'A' level course. To earn the ‘O’ level, candidates can work as Junior Programmer, EDP Assistant, Web Designer, or as Lab Demonstrator.

Eligibility Criteria for DOEACC 'O' Level
1. Have to be 10+2 pass out from a recognized college in any stream (Science, Commerce, and Arts)
2. Hold a one-year ITI Certificate after class 10th Followed in each case, by an accredited 'O' level course.
3. For direct applicants, Hold a one-year ITI Certificate after class 10th Followed in each case, by a one-year relevant experience.

Exam Pattern for DOEACC 'O' Level
The Exam Pattern has been made by NIELIT for Long Term Courses such as ‘O’ Level Course, BCA, A level, CHMO and Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering / IT.
1. The theory examination for each module under the fourth revised syllabus would be for duration of three hours and the total marks for each subject would be 100.
2. One Practical examination of three hours duration and 100 marks. The Society will be responsible for holding the examination for theory and practical both for the students from Accredited Centers and student at large.

'O' level Result
1. The O-level Course Result is released by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, (NIELIT) 2 months after the commencement of the examination.
2. The O-level Result is released in the form of a merit list by the NIELIT. The NIELIT follows the grading system. Candidates with less than 50% marks will be deemed to be unsuccessful.
3. The practical marks are not added to the O level Course Result but in order to get the O level certificate, it is necessary to pass practical examinations and finish the project.

DOEACC 'A' Level
'A' Level Course is an advanced and a second-level course in DOEACC Scheme under Information Technology after O level. It is equivalent to an Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications as recognized by the Government for job purposes. DOEACC ‘B’ Level Course
Courses at DOEACC's 'B' Level are the fourth level of courses in Computer Applications. It is the equivalent of a regular MCA degree, as identified by the MHRD. Students who have completed the Level ‘B’ course are able to work in job positions an MCA graduate is able to work in.
Candidates need to fulfil eligibility criteria to be admitted into the course. The student must submit a project after completing the course and taking the qualifying exam. With Level 'B', one can become a Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, Training Faculty, R&D Scientist, etc.
Eligibility Criteria for DOEACC ‘B’ Level
1. For students appearing through an institute Level, ‘A’ / Government recognized PPDCA / Government recognized PGDCA / Government recognized polytechnic engineering diploma / Graduate, followed in each case by an accredited ‘B’ level course (First two semesters are exempted for those who have passed ‘A’ level in full.
