The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) is a Group 'C' civil service recruitment body for Bihar Police created by a bill of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. The commission's purpose is to select applicants in various government departments for Group 'C' staff jobs in the Bihar Police according to the merits of the applicants and the rules of reservation.

Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) Bill was passed in Bihar State Assembly on 31 March 2016. The Government created the commission in order to handle the recruitment of subordinate staff of only those departments where the recruits covered are required to abide by certain physical fitness norms and also have to wear prescribed uniforms. This recruitment was previously being handled by Staff Selection Commission.

Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission is tasked with recruitment of Group C staff of Bihar Government where the recruits covered are required to abide by certain physical fitness norms and also have to wear prescribed uniforms. The departments concerned for recruitment by the commission are police, jail, forest, and excise.

Height

1. General/BC/EBC candidates – 165 cm (Male), 160 cm ( Female)

2. The Height for SC/ST candidates – 160 cms (Male), 155 cms (Female)

Chest Size (Only for Male candidates)

1. General/BC/EBC Candidates – 81 cms to 86 cms.

2. SC/ST Candidate – 79 to 84 cms.

Weight Requirements

1. The weight requirement for Females of all categories is 48 Kg.

2. Weight Requirements for Male candidates proportionate with height.

BPSSC Bihar Police SI & Sergeant Admit Card

Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has recently issued a recruitment notice for the post of Police Sub-inspector, Assistant Superintendent Jail and Assistant Superintendent Jail.

All the interested candidates will have to submit the application form online before last date along with the specified fees. Candidates have to submit fees online no cash or other methods will be accepted. To get selected for the post Candidates will have to go through Prelims, Main Exam, Physical test and medical test.

Bihar Police SI Exam Dates: Preliminary Examination Pattern

1. The Exam will be in Offline mode

2. It is in Objective Type, MCQs

3. It consists of 100 questions carrying 200 marks in total

4. The Time Duration will be 2 Hours.

5. There Will be a Negative Marking of 0.2 marks for each wrong response.

6. The subject is General Knowledge & Current Events

Bihar Police SI Exam Dates: Main Examination Pattern

1. The main written examination consists of two papers

2. Exam duration for each paper - 2 hours

3. For Paper - I: There will be 100 Questions, carrying 200 Marks in the General Hindi Section

4. Qualifying Marks in Paper I is 30%

5. These Marks of Paper-I will Not Include in the Merit List.

6. For Paper - II, There will be 100 Questions, carrying 200 Marks in General Studies, General Science, Civics, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics & Mental Ability.
