Bharat Ratna Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya in 1916 was found the Banaras Hindu University. BHU is one of the most prestigious central universities in the country. It is a central university comprised of 5 institutions. BHU Entrance Test conducted by the Banaras Hindu University for admissions to various courses offered by the university and its affiliated colleges.
The exam is conducted at the university level only and more than 5000 seats are filled on basis of BHU PET scores. BHU Exam Dates will be announced for UET & PET course. Banaras Hindu University conducts UET, PET and RET to offer admission into various UG, PG and Research Programmes. Candidates must qualify for the entrance test to get admission into management, law, arts, commerce and various other fields in the University.

Eligibility Criteria
For B.Com (Hons)
1. Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 Intermediate or its equivalent examination from any recognized board.
2. Subjects: Candidates must have either of Economics/ Commerce/ Computer Science/ Maths/ Finance/ Financial Markets Management subjects.
3. Marks: Applying candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam to be eligible.
4. Age Limit: Applying candidate must not be more than 22 years of age, as of 1st July 2022.
For PG Courses
1. Qualifying Exam: Students must hold a Bachelor’s Degree of 3yrs in any discipline.
2. Minimum Marks: Students must secure a minimum percentile of 50% marks in order to appear for the PG entrance exam (PET).
For LLB (Hons)
1. Qualification: Candidates must be Bachelor’s degree holders from any recognized university.
2. Minimum Marks: He/ she must have passed with 50% marks in the graduation level to be eligible.
3. Age Limit: Applicant should not be more than 30 years of age, as on 1st July 2023.
For MBA
1. Qualification: Candidates must be bachelor’s degree holders in any discipline from any recognized board.
2. Marks: Candidates must have obtained at least 55% marks (45% marks for ST/ SC) aggregate from any recognized university/ Institute.
BHU Admission Application Process
1. BHU Application form can be filled & submitted online mode only.
2. Applicants must possess a valid e-mail ID and mobile number for applying.
3. Prior to filling the form, candidates must keep ready with a recent passport size colour photograph in the prescribed format (JPEG format).
4. The size of the scanned photograph should not be more than 100KB.
5. No document is required to be attached along with the online application form.
6. Don’t send any hard copy of the duly filled-in application form that is not required to the University which is worthwhile.
7. Keep the printout of the filled application form for future reference.

For SC / ST, the application fee is 300/-

BHU 2024 Exam Pattern
For UET Exam
1. Mode: The UET exam will be organised through online mode.
2. Medium: The medium of the question paper will be both English & Hindi.
3. Duration: Paper will be of 2 hours or 2½ hours for various courses.
4. Type of Questions: The question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
5. Total Questions: There will be a total of 150 questions in the question paper.
6. Total Marks: The question paper will be 450 marks.
7. Marking Scheme: 3 marks will be awarded on each correct response and 1 mark will get deducted on negative response.
For PET Exam
1. Mode of Paper: The examination will be conducted online mode.
2. Time Duration: A total of 2 hours will be allotted for solving the question paper.
3. Sections: The question paper will be consist of a total of two sections as paper – A & B.
4. Questions: The question paper will be consist of 120 MCQs
5. Total Marks: There will be a total of 360 marks in the examination.
6. Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
BHU Admit Card
The BHU Admit card 2024 will be released by the university after a few weeks from the completion of the registration procedure. The university will release the admit card for every registered candidate for the examination.
BHU Result
The result of the candidates will be made available by the university after a few weeks from the completion of the examination. Candidates will be able to download their results from the month of June/ July 2024 by login into the website of the authority.
