AIIMS PG

All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, New Delhi AIIMS carry out AIIMS PG national level examination entrance examination to get admission to MS or Master of Surgery and MD or Doctor of Medicine programs in the various courses proffered under the Basic Clinical Sciences and Clinics.

Interested candidates should apply as per the prescribed schedule. Before submitting the application form, the applicants must go through the official information bulletin. AIIMS PG application form will be available in the month of November 2024 for the entrance test to be held in the month of January 2025 session. Similarly, the application form for the July session will be available from February 2025.

AIIMS PG July Session 2025

Eligibility Criteria

1. Qualification: Applying Candidates must have MBBS degree to apply for MS/ MD and should have BDS degree for MDS from a recognized board or university.

2. Marks: Candidates should have obtained at least 55% marks in the qualifying examination to be eligible and 50% marks for candidates belonging to the reserved category.

3. Internship: Applying Candidates should have completed 12 months internship before January 30, 2025.

MD (Hospital Administrator)

1. Qualification: Applying candidates should have passed MS/ MD degree or DNB degree from a recognized institution.

2. Age limit: Maximum age limit for the program is 35 years as of January 1, 2024. There will be 3-year relaxation for OBC Candidates and 5 years relaxation for SC/ ST candidates.

How to Apply For AIIMS PG 2025?

1. Visit the website of AIIMS PG. (link is updated above)

2. Now click on the ‘New Candidates Registration’ link and fill in the registration form with the required data like Name, Email Id, Phone Number, Date of Birth, etc.

3. After the basic registration, fill out the Application Form with the required details like Personal, Educational, Communicational, examination centre etc.. and save the details.

4. Now upload your latest passport-size photograph and signature along with other necessary documents.

5. Save the details filled in the application form and proceed to the next step.

6. Select the payment gateway and fill in the required details accordingly.

7. Submit the application form and do not forget to take one printout for future use.

AIIMS PG Registration Fee

Candidates applying must keep copies of the filled Application Form and fee slip for further needs. Candidates have to pay application fees category-wise. Application fees payment can be made through online mode -

1. The application fee will be 1500 for general, OBC & other categories of candidates, and Rs. 1200 for SC/ST/EWS category.

2. There is no application fee for PH category candidates.

3. The application fee can be remitted through online mode, i.e. credit card, debit card, and Internet banking.

AIIMS PG Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for both MD/MS and MDS courses is detailed below.

Exam Mode: The AIIMS PG exam will be a computer-based test.

Question Type: The test paper will consist of objective-type questions having four alternatives.

Number of Questions: There will be a total of 200 questions in the exam for MD/MS courses and the test paper will comprise 90 questions for the MDS course.

Exam Duration: Exam for MD/MS programs will be allotted 180 minutes and for MDS, there will be total of 90 minutes.

Marking Scheme: Each question will carry 1 mark. For every right answer, 1 mark will be awarded while 1/3rd marks will be deducted as a penalty for the wrong answer.

Syllabus: The syllabus of the AIIMS PG exam for MD/MS courses will contain the subjects of the qualifying degree i.e. MBBS. Similarly, the exam for MDS will contain the syllabus of the BDS degree.

AIIMS PG 2025 Admit Card

1. The candidates can obtain AIIMS PG admit card from the official website.

2. The admit card is expected to be available one or two weeks prior to the examination date.

3. Information in this regard will be published on the official website, candidates must check from time to time.

4. Enter registration/roll number and date of birth to obtain the admit card.

5. Take the printout of the same and keep it safe for future reference.

AIIMS PG 2025 Counselling

On the basis of shortlisting done as per the merit list, the successful candidates will be invited to attend the counselling process. The AIIMS PG Counselling 2024 will be completed in three stages. It is mandatory to go through the counselling process for admission to the respective course.

Final admission will be based on the overall performance of the candidate during the exam. The counselling will be held online mode. In this regard, the competent authority will publish a notification for the complete counselling schedule on the official website.
