The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has reopened the Round 3 registration window for NEET PG Counselling 2025 after lowering the qualifying cut-off. The revised schedule applies to All India Quota (AIQ) seats as well as central and state counselling rounds.
Candidates can register for Round 3 counselling until January 26. The choice-filling process will also remain open until the same date, while the Round 3 seat allotment results are scheduled to be announced on January 29. MCC has confirmed that one additional online stray vacancy round will be conducted after Round 3.
The committee has also adjusted the schedule for state-level counselling. Under the updated timeline, candidates allotted seats in Round 3 of state counselling must complete the joining process by February 6.
Candidates who register afresh in Round 3 but do not receive a seat will remain eligible to participate in subsequent stray or further counselling rounds. However, those who are allotted a seat in Round 3 and fail to join will forfeit their security deposit and will not be allowed to take part in any further rounds conducted by MCC or the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
MCC revised the counselling dates after reducing the NEET PG 2025 qualifying percentile. Under the updated criteria, candidates from the general category with a 7th percentile score (103 marks) now qualify for counselling. Applicants from SC, ST and OBC categories qualify at the 0 percentile, while Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are eligible with a 5th percentile score (90 marks).

The Directorate General of Health Services, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, conducts online counselling for 50 per cent All India Quota postgraduate medical and dental seats. Candidates who qualify for AIQ seats based on their NEET PG rank are eligible to participate in the counselling process.
