The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued an important notice today. The Students who are eligible for PwD Quota Seats, need to produce PwD Certificate from the concerned Authority to Claim their PwD Quota in NEET-UG Counselling. These candidates must note that the MCC portal for the generation of PwD certificates is likely to open now.
As per the notice, candidates who have registered themselves as PwD on the NBE (National Board of Examinations) website and want to avail the benefit of PwD reservation should get the disability certificate issued from any one of the designated NEET Disability Certification Centres.
Students who will fall under the PwD category will be offered a 5% reservation while getting admission to medical colleges. Candidates will also have to fulfil the rules or conditions set by the authority to avail the benefits of reservation.
1. The minimum degree of disability should 40% or more to avail Pwd quota.
2. The degree of disability should be checked or assessed as per the guidelines set by the Govt.
3. Must hold a “Certificate of Disability”.
4. Disability certificates should be made from the 12 designated centres by NTA.
